As part of Dataquests’ commitment to ‘putting something back’ we are delighted to be able to sponsor the Charity ‘Camkids’.

Special thanks to Dataquest UK for an incredibly generous donation of £5,000.00, which will be spent on the medical side of the charity.

The Cambodian Children’s charity is a UK registered Charity. We are non-political, non-religious and affiliated to no one, except the children we are trying to help. We are a direct action charity and everyone is involved purely on a voluntary basis. 100% of money donated will go to the intended project, that is our promise.
Our aim is to help children in Cambodia, who are either poor or whose parents are not there for them: orphans, street children, children living in poor rural areas and children affected by natural disasters, such as flood or famine.

As a charity, we are constantly on the look out for good, reliable projects in Cambodia that require support. Our programmess fall broadly into two types:

1. Regular and ongoing, such as child sponsorship, education, land management (farming) and medical needs.

2. Construction or single projects that are proposed to us, where we are satisfied how the money will be spent.

We believe, with the continued support of our donors and sponsors, we will be able to broaden all our projects to eventually touch and enrich the lives of all disadvantaged children throughout Cambodia.

Cambodia is a country of inconsistencies, some things cost very little whilst others are quite expensive by comparison.

CamKids pays for a doctor to visit an orphanage we help support, he travels there once a week at a cost of £175 per month. The donation from Dataquest will cover the doctor’s salary for over 2 years. Since this orphanage is a predominantly a baby orphanage and is located 2hrs from Phnom Penh, medical help is a very high priority and there is no doubt that these visits will save lives. With this money now guaranteed, we can focus our attention on raising money to pay for medicines, hospital visits, vaccinations etc.
